Pink eye (Conjunctivitis) can spread quickly by physical contact and lead to symptoms such as redness or itchiness. While most pink eye will clear on its own, some conditions can become more serious. Definition: Inflammation or infection of the transparent membrane that lines your eyelids and covers the white part of your eyeball. Pink eye can be allergic, viral, or bacterial.
Treatment: An antibiotic eye drop may be required depending on the type of pink eye you have.
Symptoms: Pink or reddish eyes. Pain, blurred vision, or light sensitivity. Itchiness or gritty feeling in eye(s). Burning sensation in eye(s). Discharge from eye(s) that forms a crust during the night.
